Gathering Essence represents the regulation of the body’s foundational vitality [Jing]. It is the habit of slowing down and conserving resources, and creating the internal conditions where Essence, and the Intelligence of the primary life force is cultivated to a high degree of biodynamic systemic coherence.  The body-mind’s alchemical potential is awakened and regulated throughout the fluid drive of the body. Becoming the fuel for subsequent transformation.
